I have been hearing people talk about their New Year’s resolutions the past few weeks and what their goals are for this next year. While I believe that it is important to think about ways in which you want to improve yourself in the upcoming year, I believe that there is also value in looking at what you have accomplished in the past year. So while making New Year’s resolutions, also make sure to ask yourself:
“What can I do today that I was not capable of doing 12 months ago?”
It is important to not only think about how you want to improve yourself or your life but to also think about and acknowledge what improvements you have already made. By doing this you can help to increase your self-esteem and self-confidence as well recognize your strengths so you can continue to build on them.
So what can you do today that you could not do 12 months ago???
