For those of you who have ever seen someone’s posts on social media and been concerned for their safety, Facebook has recently unveiled new features to make it easier for people experiencing suicidal thoughts to find help.

 

The article states that, “Being socially connected is a big factor in suicide prevention” and since Facebook is one the most popular ways in which people stay connected with each other, hopefully Facebook can help to connect those with potential suicidal thoughts to resources and support that are available to them.
