There has been a lot of talk in the news the past few years related to the dangers of concussions suffered by athletes and the long term affects that it can have.  With football season approaching, it is important to keep in mind how to protect yourself from getting a concussion, what are the symptoms of concussions, as well as what to do if you have suffered from a concussion.

 

Concussions are a reality in any sport, not just football, so it is important that all athletes and their parents are knowledgeable about concussions.  As an athlete, your mind and body are the most important components of successful performance so it is crucial to make sure that both are healthy.
