We ALL have intrusive thoughts, most of which tend to be worrisome in nature. If you do not feel as though you do, you probably do but just are not consciously aware of it. It is very important to pay attention to our thoughts because our thoughts affect how we feel which impacts our behavior (the basic underlying principal of Cognitive Behavior Therapy CBT which is one of the most commonly used treatment approaches for reducing anxiety). I always tell my clients, you cannot control what thoughts enter your mind, but you can control what you do with the thought once it is there.
